Advantages and Risks of Outsourcing
Has there been a time when you have so much work to do that your inner body could not resist but shout out “can someone help me out here?” Then, this is the indication that you should consider outsourcing your work.
Outsourcing has its advantages and risks. Different work scopes and work genres require different outsourcing channels. You will probably face a dilemma on whether you should outsource your work to an established company, professional team or solo freelancers. The price factor will also come into picture while making this decision.
Advantages of Outsourcing
1. Leave the content or routine work to others. This way, you can focus on the other aspects of the job. For example, you are tasked to be in charge of building a website for your company and you know you want to impress your superior. You can outsource the web design and content work to freelancers or professional web designers, while you concentrate on marketing the website and branding for your company.
2. Wide range of budgets you can work with. If you are starting out with a small budget, you can consider outsourcing your work to freelancers because they charge lower rates than major companies and may even have a faster turnaround rate, since big companies are known for more bulk jobs.
3. Another big advantage of outsourcing is saving time. While your outsourced work is in progress, you can follow up on other projects which may require more of your attention. This can save you or your company a big deal of time and monetary resources.
Risks of Outsourcing
Miscommunication. This is the most feared mistake when you are working with a partner. Miscommunication with your freelancers can actually cause much unwanted trouble for yourself. However, this risk can be greatly reduced if both parties were meticulous and easy to understand during the discussion. So, the risk of outsourcing is very much dependent by both parties.
You will definitely notice a quicker growth in your personal development or your company’s value when you start to outsource your work because of the time saved during the course. However, no one can guarantee if all outsourcing ventures will run smoothly. Your judgment is very crucial when selecting your outsourcing channels. Remember that credibility, reliability, communication channels and turnaround rate are important factors you need to consider
Job advice.! Help! A small company sales job or a F1000 sales job, pros and cons?
I have been unemployed for a while and the money is about to run out. I received an offer today and accepted working in the contractor payroll outsourcing sales to F1000 market with A very nice 15 person family like firm financially stable. The other job offer is with a behemoth global large document imaging manufacturer. both are willing to pay the same base salary but the imaging company offers uncapped commissions but longer tougher sales hours. The small company wants to develop me and get me to six figures as soon as possible. My question is given the fact I am a divorced dad with part time custody of a 3 year old which opportunity has the greatest risks and rewards? I don’t need a ton of stress right now either. I know this may seem dumb and a no brainer to some people but positive helpful feedback would be awesome….thanks in advance! By the way to add to the stress, both offers are $25,000 less a year than what I was making in my old job so I need to make commissions as quickly as possible!
at the small company, will you have to deal with family drama? will "getting to six figures" take years and years? will they be family friendly?
will you feel like you’ve sold your soul if you go corporate?
can you sell a lot? do you have the talent and skills to make those extra commissions?
and most importantly, do you have the motivation and dedication to put towards the "longer tougher sales hours"?
whatever you do, don’t pick dred scott’s scam.
How do you feel about big companies outsourcing people from 3rd world countries?
How do you handle difficult job interview situations ?
Today I had a phone call with a woman to schedule an interview. She asked me a basic question about what kind of work the company I was previously employed for did. Now I had worked for one company that did Business Process Outsourcing work but was purchased by a printing company. I did my best to explain this to her but it seemed that she had trouble comprehending what I said and she got a little agitated with me and accused me of not being able to comprehend. Now I know that the interviewer pretty much holds all the cards and if they belittle you in any way, there’s little to nothing that you can do or is there ? What’s the best way to handle yourself when the interview is doing nothing but trying to belittle you and make you feel stupid ?
Explain that there must be an issue in the communication between the two of you, and attempt again. Apologize for the frustration. If there are still belittling comments made, you have every right to stand up for yourself. You could let her know that you feel her behavior is unprofessional. If that is a representation of the company you are applying for, look elsewhere.
An interview is not only to determine if a company wants you, but also if you want that company.

Lou Dobbs,pros and cons?
What is your opinion of Lou Dobbs?Personally(and many will think I’m lying or crazy or both),I’m a Liberal who finds myself in agreement with Mr.Dobbs on many points.
I’m not saying I agree with him on every point, but I think he is on the money as it pertains to illegal immigration, outsourcing, and the war on the middle class,to borrow his tag line.
I was wondering how others here view him.
He is the only one that hit a nerve of the open border and a radicals
He studies his issues and he know what he is saying. The outsourcing and importing of cheaper and what it is doing to the middle class and lower class American citizens is right on the money. It is now starting to happen.
Many economist are now saying it could be worse then the bubble of the 90′s. Which we still haven’t rebound from.
Worse we could have a depression not recession but a depression. If that happens in this global market it could cause a total collapse.
